HA5 Street Sealing Operations Begin Sunday
HA5 street sealing operations begin Sunday, May 31, 2026, on Mesquite Avenue, surrounding areas, and other locations throughout Lake Havasu City as part of the City’s ongoing pavement preservation program to maintain and extend the life of public roadways. Weather permitting, crews apply the HA5 surface treatment to select streets and parking lots over approximately two weeks to help protect asphalt surfaces from wear and deterioration.
Due to the longer curing time required for HA5 material, motorists should expect temporary lane restrictions, road closures, and delays in active work areas. Traffic control devices, flaggers, cones, and signage guide traffic safely through construction zones.
Residents and businesses in scheduled work areas receive advance notice before sealing operations. Businesses remain open during the project, with access being maintained via side streets, rear entrances, or traffic-controlled access points as needed.
To ensure the quality and longevity of the treatment, the public should not drive, walk, bike, or park on treated surfaces until traffic control devices have been removed. Residents are also asked to avoid parking on streets scheduled for treatment, remove vehicles during posted work times, and avoid releasing water into the street while work is underway.
Lake Havasu City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during this work and encourages motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes whenever possible.
