The show follows the overly optimistic Trolls, constantly with a song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have Trolls in their stomachs. Poppy, Branch, and their Troll friends prepare a show to meet the lofty expectations of a foreign emissary threatening their cheerful world. The Trolls must revamp their performance to meet his standards, proving that the show must go on, no matter what. The musical contains all the fun and enthusiasm of the beloved characters’ “hair-raising” adventures as everyone learns lessons about inner happiness, perseverance, and self-respect.
